Ribs from Rudolph's and a Letter to Vegetarians

There's nothing like a big plateful of meat to make me feel ridiculous for having a poorly balanced meal and yet incredibly excited to dive in and get my fingers and face all saucy. Noms!  Thanks to Rudolph's for making an excess of such delicious ribs.  I actually bought these ribs in the grocery store after eating in the restaurant.  A rack of ribs (packaged by Rudolph's) is about $10 at the store, while the same ribs served in the restaurant is a hefty $25.  Add in a tip, and you're looking at difference of $20.  Ouch. Eating out is fun, but I'm starting to doubt that it's worth $20 to sit in a booth and have a waitress who's dressed like a pirate with hipster glasses (or whatever their theme is...I don't quite understand it) bring your drinks and food.  Although, I hear their 2-4-1 happy hour is great, and I do LOVE their bbq nachos!

Vegetarians and vegans, I'm almost sorry for my unabashed love of la carne.  I very much respect you for your discipline, your care for animals, your concern for the environment. I do understand that it is responsible to be vegetarian because it uses less energy.  I do feel guilty that animals have been kept in little cages or have been fed grains when they would have eaten grass in their natural environment.

I actually do limit the amount of meat that I consume.  Steve and I try to eat lots of tofu, beans, and eggs in an attempt to eat less meat.  Admittedly, cost was a factor in this decision, but perhaps we can receive some kind of credit anyway?  I don't often treat myself to large quantities of meat, but when I do, I'm sure to savor every moment.  Meat is just so delicious that I can't resist it.  Yes, vegetables, grains, and beans are also delicious (and I can't resist those either), but they're not a perfect substitute. Thus, my unapologetic post of ribs.
