marshmallow dipped in melted milk chocolate with almonds and toffee |
Chocolate-topped marshmallows are a simple and incredibly delicious way to get your fix if you're craving s'mores but lack a fire. City-dwellers, take note!
I used Chocolove's Toffee and Almonds in Milk Chocolate to make this delicacy. I chopped a few pieces of chocolate on a dry, microwave-safe plate and stuck the plate into the microwave for about 20 seconds. Then, I stirred the chocolate and reheated for another 10 seconds. You should microwave your chocolate for short periods and make sure to stir in between nukings. This way, you will heat the chocolate evenly and you will know exactly when it is ready for the dipping process.
Then, I simply dragged the top of each marshmallow across the pool of melted chocolate. I arranged them on a different plate for serving (and stuck one or two morsels in my mouth). If you are going to show off your treats to anyone, I'd suggest paying attention to the shape of your marshmallows. So that they don't tip over, dip the less-flat end of the marshmallow in the chocolate so that the flatter end can sit on the plate... though I'm sure 5 year olds won't care what they look like.
